Reflections of 2009

This year, many things happened. one of it happened at the start of this year, shortly after CNY. I do not wish to let anyone know. However, I believe few people knows what have happened. It didn't just came to me as a shock. My family members, the some of the school teachers were shocked. During that period of time, not only was I busy with my school work, my parents were busy as well. my dad have to go to the hospital every evening after fetching my brother(s) and I home from school. sometimes, he have his dinner only late at night. I learnt to treasure those around me even more. especially my grandparents. I try to spend as much time with them as i can.
This year, there is SYF Competition. Athough I'm just a reserve, I helped teach my sec1 junior so that he can take over the parts I play. Although the incident mentioned earlier happened shortly aft CNY, I still try my best to attend every single practice, and try to help out in any way possible. At first, I did feel sad that I was a resrve. Then, I looked at things from a different angle. I felt that even though I do not need to participate in SYF competition, I should still put in an effort. I remembered what someone told me before- to put in 110% commitment in whatever I do.
For Mid-Year, I did not do well partly due to my commitment in my CCA. After SYF, I had more time to study. However, I had to prepare for my grade7 piano Exam. I was made to practice very hard. practice at least 4 hours a day during June holidays. and at least and hour on school days. I had to practice nothing less than four hours during the sept Holidays and had many extra lessons from my piano teacher, so that I can pass. I screwed up and still managed to pass.
After my piano exams, I did not have much time to prepare for my EOY exams. I had very little time to prepare. In fact, I had less than 2 weeks of time to revise. In the end, I did not do really well in again. I actually did better in Mid Year.
I think that I've got too much commitment this year. With my CCA and Piano. Although I've already cut down my activities to the minimum. Therefore, I have decided to stop my piano lessons next year so that I can concentrate more on my studies.
Yesterday, Ms latifah actually asked the class if anyone scored better than 215 for their PSLE. Of course everyone did. What if I were to ask if anyone scored higher than 225? I probably did not score higher than that. However, do I think that I'm not as good as anyone who scored higher than me?
I believe that if people can do well, so can I. It's just how determined am I to prove to you that I can do better than you? I can tell you that many times, people do not just want to listen about how great you were in the past. Does how well you do in the past matter? They do not want to listen to you because they want prove. They want you to show them that what you say is true.

I know that this post is quite long. I just have got loads of things to reflect. Many things have happened this year. seriously. I guess I'm just gonna stop here before anyone fall asleep reading this -.-"
PS: feel free to comment aft reading(:
